Captain 2×, vice-captain 1.5×, salary-cap math and contest-risk classification.

Fantasy cricket, football and NBA contests run on the same wallet on khelo bet24. Captain and vice-captain multipliers apply across all three sports. Salary cap and contest-risk classification apply at contest entry. The 2026-08-17 capture is the canonical reference for the values below.

Captain and vice-captain

The captain doubles the player's points. The vice-captain multiplies by 1.5×. If the captain does not play (pulled from the XI after the toss, late injury in football, late scratch in NBA), the vice-captain takes effect at 2× instead of 1.5×. The substitution is automatic, not optional.

Lock captain and vice-captain before the toss in cricket, kick-off in football, and the first tip-off in NBA. Once locked, the squad screen saves the picks to the contest entry. Late swaps via the swap window do not reset the multiplier; you keep the multiplier you locked.

When the captain substitution fires

  • Cricket: captain listed in the XI but does not bat or bowl in the match. Vice-captain moves to 2×.
  • Football: captain not in the starting XI, removed before kick-off, or subbed off before the 60th minute. Vice-captain moves to 2×.
  • NBA: captain listed as inactive or DNP-CD before tip-off. Vice-captain moves to 2×.

Players who score 0 still score 0, multiplied by 2 or 1.5×. The multiplier does not invent points from a poor performance. Pick captain on form and role, not just reputation or recent fantasy totals on other apps.

Salary cap

The salary cap is a virtual budget that limits the total of player salaries in a fantasy squad. Top picks cost more than bench picks because their salary is set by recent form and role. The cap is fixed per contest and visible on the entry screen before you lock the squad.

How the cap math works

  • Cricket squad: 11 players within a 100-credit cap. Wicket-keeper, batter, all-rounder, bowler roles fill from the credit pool.
  • Football squad: 11 players within a 100-credit cap. Goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, forward roles fill from the credit pool.
  • NBA squad: 8 players within a 200-salary cap. Guard, forward, centre utility slots fill from the salary pool.

When the squad total is over the cap, the entry screen flags the squad in red and blocks submission. The fix is to swap a higher-salary pick for a lower-salary alternative from the same role, not to remove a role.

Contest-risk classification

Contests carry a risk band that classifies the prize pool, the entry fee and the player count. The risk band tells you whether a contest is a high-prize pool with thousands of entries, a small 1v1 duel, or a free practice band.

  • Mega Contest. Highest-prize band, thousands of entries, top-N prize split. Entry fees vary by slot.
  • Head-to-head. 1v1 band, winner takes the prize pool minus operator fee.
  • League. Top-N prize split across a smaller player pool than Mega Contest.
  • Practice. Free-entry band, no real-money prize, useful for testing squads before paid contests.

Practice contests let you test the captain pick without paying entry. The scoring engine is identical to paid contests. Use Practice first, then move to Head-to-head and League as confidence grows.

What the captain rule does not change

Captain and vice-captain do not change the underlying scoring rules. They do not change the salary cap, the contest risk band, or the payout structure. They multiply the player's score, nothing else. A captain who scores 0 still scores 0 × 2.

They also do not change the points system across sports. A cricket captain's batting and bowling points follow the cricket scoring matrix; a football captain's goals and assists follow the football matrix; an NBA captain's points, rebounds and assists follow the NBA matrix. The multiplier applies to the total from that matrix.
