How the 2x and 1.5x multipliers work
Captain-mode contests double the captain's points and add 1.5x to the vice-captain. The choice is the single most leveraged decision in a fantasy slate.
The captain pick
Pick one player as captain and one as vice-captain. Captain points are doubled, vice-captain 1.5x. If the captain does not play, the vice-captain becomes captain and the nominated vice-captain takes the 1.5x slot.
The captain pick is the biggest swing in a fantasy slate; small form differences (balls faced, dot-ball rate, economy) compound under the 2x multiplier.
Powerplay, middle, death split into separate buckets
The live tracker splits match stages into three buckets: powerplay, middle overs and death overs. Each bucket scores a subset of points so a captain's impact compounds in the relevant phase.
